How Selective Syncing Works

Using Lists

• Navigate to the Products section in your QuickSync dashboard.
• Select Using List from the drop-down menu.
• Choose individual products from the list displayed.
• Click Sync Products to start syncing the selected items.

Using Filters

• Select Using Filters from the options.
• Define filters based on product attributes:
  • Name
  • Vendor
  • Category
  • Tag
  • Product Type
  • Collection
• Specify whether to Include, Exclude, or apply an Exact Match.
• Click Filter Products to display the filtered list and sync the desired products.

Using Excel Sheet

• Choose Using Excel Sheet from the options.
• Download the provided Excel template and fill it with the list of products you want to sync.
• Upload the edited file to QuickSync using the Import via Excel option.
• Click Import to initiate the syncing process.

Example Use Case

You sell home decor items across Shopify and Etsy. However, you want to sync only your seasonal holiday collection to Etsy.

1. Filter Products in Shopify:

Use the Filter Products option to filter items with the “Holiday” tag. In the filter settings, make sure you select Include to focus only on the tagged items.

2. QuickSync in Action:

Sync the filtered list of products to Etsy.

3. Result:

Only the products tagged with “Holiday” will be synced to Etsy. 

Combining Selective and Product Syncing

• While Selective Syncing allows you to sync individual products manually, Product Syncing is designed to automatically update all product information from your master store to connected stores. Steps to combine selective and product syncing:
  • First, enable Selective Syncing to add and sync desired products.
  • Then, enable Product Syncing to keep those products updated across stores.
• However, keep in mind that new products won’t sync automatically when both features are enabled. You’ll need to manually sync any new items via the Selective Syncing tab before they reflect updates.
• IMPORTANT: When Selective Syncing is turned off, Product Syncing will default to syncing every product from the Master Store to the connected platform, overriding any previously set filters or tags.
